【Developing Digital Infrastructure】Using '5G Applications Mobile Clinic' to bridge the Urban-Rural Digital Divide.

The goal is to innovate a new model of long-term care service by using 5G Applications Mobile Clinic' to bridge the Urban-Rural Digital Divide and achieve digital inclusion and equality. The infrastructure of telemedicine care will improve the quality of life for people living in isolated areas."

Taiwan is an aging society with elderly people having multiple medical needs and various medical conditions. Residents in remote areas face difficulties accessing medical care due to inadequate medical environments, a shortage of medical professionals, and inconvenient transportation to medical facilities. Using smart information and communication systems, we can connect medical institutions, specialists, and remote consultations, and design long-term care service models that include mobile hospitals, health promotion, and home medical care outreach services for remote areas. In addition to serving remote communities and disabled individuals, we also focus on providing cervical cancer screening medical services to women in their hometowns, sharing resources and meeting the needs of diverse age groups.

This is an innovative service model for diversified medical, health care, health promotion, and social welfare services. In the future, we will focus more on preventive medicine and improving the health literacy of the public and their families to gain the ability to manage their health and knowledge. Our goal is to bridge the gap of health inequality and promote localized aging. We aim to achieve this by improving the accessibility and sustainability of community medical care, thus safeguarding the health of people in remote areas.
