【Global Award-Winning Project】Cross-disciplinary Integrated Service Project is about to launch!

The Ministry of Economic Affairs' Bureau of Foreign Trade has launched the "Sharing is Caring" global charity event under the "Taiwan Excellence" brand. The award-winning project, the "Mobile Digital Denture Clinic & Oral Health Service Project" created through collaboration between industry, government, and academia, was officially unveiled at a media event hosted by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University on the 28th. The ehicle is scheduled to begin providing charitable dental health services next month.

Sponsored by Taiwanese premium businesses and developed in collaboration with the dental team at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, the vehicle will depart from the university on May 12th, with its first stop in Nanao Township, Yilan County, where it will provide oral health checkups for the elderly in mountainous areas, reducing their need to travel to receive dental care and providing local residents with convenient access to dental health services.

"Taiwan Excellence," dubbed the "Oscars of Taiwan's industry," holds this event to encourage people worldwide to propose creative ideas that benefit society. The concept for the "Mobile Digital Denture Clinic & Oral Health Service Project" originated from Danielle Chen, the CEO of 'ALTRUISTIC+Social Enterprise', who has long been concerned with social needs and has observed that dental care is an area in which assistance is often needed. After winning the award, the project received funding from 29 Taiwanese premium businesses and was brought to life with the help of the dental team at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.

The vehicle is painted in bright colors and features a heart-shaped flying gesture, symbolizing Taiwan Excellence's dedication to giving back to society and providing people with a warm feeling. Inside, the bus is equipped with digital dental equipment from award-winning Taiwanese companies such as Chiah Cheng Machinery, MiTAC Digital, and Yangming Optics, including a CNC cutting machine, a 3D printer, an oral scanner, and dental design software. The tour bus will visit Dongyue, Jinyue, Jinyang, Aohua Cultural Health Station, and Bi Hou and Wuta Elementary Schools in Nanao, Yilan this year.

In addition to Danielle Chen, the project initiator, representatives from various significant organizations attended today's media event, including Amelia W.J. DAY, the Director of the Secretary's Office of the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Elina Hui-Ling Lee, the Deputy Secretary-General of TAITRA, Wei Shun-Hwa, Vice President of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Professor Lin Yuan-min, Xu Nai-Wei, Director-General of the Yilan County Health Bureau, Tsai Wei-Yi, Executive Assistant to the CEO of Jurong Industrial, Chen Chun-Wei, General Manager of AROMASE, Tsai Yi-Ying, General Manager of O'right, and Tsai Jia-Cheng, Chairman of Tung Shin Precision Technology.

The Bureau of Foreign Trade stated that Taiwanese businesses play a crucial role in the global supply chain, and through "Sharing is Caring," Taiwan Excellence hopes to promote Taiwan's spirit of innovation and charitable contributions to the world.
