With an aging population in Taiwan, there is an increasing need for integrated care services for the elderly in the community. To address this issue, philanthropists integrated the donation budget and commissioned 'ALTRUISTIC⁺Social Enterprise'  to design a project service plan that would practice the concept of giving back to society and return resources to resource-poor areas in Taiwan. In these difficult times of the pandemic, they hope to sow the seeds of hope and share love and peace.

 

     ''ALTRUISTIC⁺Social Enterprise' recognizes that "community" is a way for Taiwanese people to settle down and thrive. After conducting asset inventorying and project design, this donation is given to the Taoyuan Guanyin District Office to improve early intervention measures and social participation opportunities for the elderly in the community. Although Taoyuan City is one of the six municipalities in Taiwan, it faces the problem of insufficient resources in remote and mountainous areas. The Guanyin District, in particular, suffers from a shortage of medical resources and healthcare professionals to care for the elderly, making it a critical area for civil resource injection. Transportation has become an important key for community elders to seek medical treatment and participate in society.

 

     The vehicle is equipped with various medical equipment and is designed for social workers to serve more vulnerable individuals at community centers. The project aims to provide transportation services and create greater accessibility. The project involves integration of hardware and manpower and will benefit a few hundred people.
