The Innovative Multi-Functional Mobile Medical Care poject for home healthcare connects medical teams to provide in-home medical services. With a hardware and software designed for mobile medical care, it effectively reduces the hospitalization rate of the elderly and achieves the permanent vision of aging in place.

 

      Taiwan is facing severe population aging, with a rapidly growing population of frail elderly individuals. The needs for disability and long-term care among the elderly are having a significant impact on society. Recognizing the urgent need for medical and transportation services among elderly individuals in rural areas, 'ALTRUISTIC⁺Social Enterprise' conducted visits across the province and integrated transportation mobility and medical care to improve resource utilization. We have also coordinated with the government's long-term care policies and matched donations to under-resourced areas in Taiwan, bringing an uninterrupted stream of warmth to elderly individuals in rural areas.

 

     Understanding the need for active intervention during the frailty period of the elderly's health, 'ALTRUISTIC+Social Enterprise' conducted community visits and research to improve transportation mobility. We designed a home healthcare model suitable for the elderly in rural areas who cannot leave their homes for medical treatment and face difficulties in social participation due to living alone or lack of caregivers. 'ALTRUISTIC+Social Enterprise' also prepared portable precision medical equipment to effectively reduce the hospitalization rate of the elderly in the future and discover more socially marginalized communities. Our goal is to achieve sustainable aging in place and promote healthy living for the elderly.
