【ALTRUISTIC+Project】Improving the utilization rate of preventive healthcare services in Yunlin
Taiwan is currently facing multiple challenges in healthcare and resource inequality due to urban-rural disparities and demographic changes. Globally, the aging population and the integration of community care services have become significant issues. 'ALTRUISTIC+ Social Enterprise' is working to address these challenges by providing resources and projects to remote and rural areas of Taiwan, designing exclusive donation programs with the concept of "Transportation Mobility and Health Awareness." To achieve the goal of an age-friendly environment in Taiwan, the "Long-term Care Medical Vehicle" has been donated to the Health Bureau of Yunlin County, named Jia-Chi Jiang and Eun-Chi Jiang.
Yunlin County has the highest percentage of people aged over 65, with limited social resources and socially determined health inequities. After conducting a community assessment, 'ALTRUISTIC+ Social Enterprise' recognized that "Transportation Mobility and Health Awareness" is one of the effective approaches to improve population outflow and balanced local development in aging rural areas. The facilitated project, the "Long-term Care Medical Vehicle," is equipped with various medical equipment, eHealth services, an LCD television for health promotion, and special electrically operated seats to enable frail elderly individuals in the community to access medical intervention and promote social participation at an early stage. Furthermore, building partnerships with local communities empowers their perspectives. The ultimate goal of 'ALTRUISTIC+ Social Enterprise' is to increase the utilization rate of preventive healthcare services for locals, and strengthen the supportive system of the social safety net through society's resources.
Through public-private partnerships and as a strong strategic partner, 'ALTRUISTIC+ Social Enterprise' is working to strengthen service delivery and expand the social safety net with "Interdisciplinary Integration and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)". We assist entrepreneurs, corporations, and individuals in contributing to the community and achieving social (corporate) responsibility, creating a sustainable society for Taiwan.
